Inspire and lead a team to provide housing solutions for people experiencing homelessness, mental health and addiction in South Auckland  

Te āhuatunga a te tūrunga (About the role)

A people-focused role where your approachable, responsive and caring nature will shine. Work in partnership with other agencies and health and social service organisations to build strong relationships and deliver collaborative support.

You’ll lead a team supporting people with housing needs to achieve and maintain housing stability. You’ll:

• Support people experiencing homelessness.
• Work alongside people to identify housing needs and access housing options.
• Support people to sustain their housing and wellbeing.
• Build strong relationships across South Auckland communities.
• Coach and develop staff while creating a positive team culture where people feel valued and achievements are celebrated.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role, Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.00pm, based in Manukau and working across South Auckland.

Ko wai koe (About you)

You | Mōu 

• An exceptional people leader, confident communicator and relationship builder  
• Knowledge of and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and working with Māori 
• Proven ability and experience in inspiring and leading a team effectively 
• Current registration and APC with the Occupational Therapy Board of NZ
• An understanding of the mental health system and sector within the Auckland region, including the NGO and community sector. 
• The knowledge and experience to support staff who choose to work using Te Ao Maori frameworks 
• Excellent written and verbal communication 
• An understanding of and the ability to apply the principles of wellness and recovery 
• A tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or experience in a similar role.  
• Full driver’s licence.
