our communities to access permanent, safe and affordable housing and
linking them to the health and social services they need to live well. We work
together with a number of key organisations as part of a
community-wide approach to end homelessness.
Te āhuatunga a te tūrunga (About the role)
The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
- A people-focused role where your approachability,
responsiveness and genuinely caring personality will shine.
- Work in partnership with other agencies, including
our partner organisations in the health and social services
space, to develop supportive peer relationships and collaborative service
delivery.
- Lead a team who work alongside people who have
housing needs and require support to achieve housing
stability.
- Lead a team which:
- Provides support to
people experiencing homelessness
- Works alongside people
to identify housing needs and supports them to access housing
options.
- Has strong relationships and collaboration within
our communities.
- Seek opportunities to engage staff through
effective coaching and ongoing development while creating a positive team
culture where achievements are celebrated, and people are valued.
Ko wai koe (About you)
About You | Mōu
- Current registration and annual practising
certificate as a Occupational Therapist with the OT Board NZ.
- An exceptional people
leader and confident communicator and relationship
builder
- Knowledge of and commitment to Te Tiriti
o Waitangi principles and working with Māori
- Proven ability and experience in inspiring and
leading a team effectively
- An understanding of the mental health system and
sector within the Auckland region, including the NGO and
community sector.
- The knowledge and experience to support staff who
choose to work using Te Ao Maori frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- An understanding of and the ability
to apply the principles of wellness and recovery
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or
experience in a similar role.
- Full driver’s licence.
OFFER
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00pm. This role will be based in Manukau and involves working across South Auckland.
