Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)
We have a part time vacancy for an Occupational
Therapist to be based in our Auckland Centre on a 12-month fixed term covering
parental leave.
This vacancy is for approximately 20-24 hours per week, we are flexible about the actual hours and days of work.
Te āhuatunga a te tūrunga (About the role)
The Occupational Therapist will provide critical rehabilitation interventions, including
·
identifying the patient’s
functional goals, which can include self-care, home management, work tasks,
driving, childcare, leisure activities,
·
providing
prosthetic rehabilitation assessments and plans
·
working
closely with prosthetist/orthotists to provide people with training to use
their prosthesis
·
analysing
tasks and providing modifications to achieve functional goals
·
providing
education on compensatory techniques and equipment to accomplish tasks and
activities
·
identifying
and addressing psychosocial issues
·
provision
of telehealth consultations as required
Ko wai koe (About you)
The ideal
candidate will also have:
- ·
at least
2 years post graduate experience
- ·
a current
Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- ·
experience
in rehabilitation
- ·
excellent
communication skills
- ·
the
ability to work well autonomously in a team environment
- ·
a keen
interest in learning and professional development
