About the Mahi (Role)
We have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join the Gisborne clinic.
We support a variety of clients who have ACC, Insured, or Private conditions through an integrated care approach. We have ACC contracts including Integrated Care Pathway, Vocational Rehab Services, Pain Management, and Training for Independence. We also provide Early Intervention to nationwide businesses such as Countdown, Downer, Department of Conservation, and Ministry of Social Development staff.
You will be passionate about improving health equity in rehabilitation and supporting clients in their recovery.
A good understanding of te reo Māori, tikanga, and cultural safety or someone keen to progress their understanding and learning of te ao Māori would be sought after.
Ideally, you will be able to work full-time (40 hours per week). However, we can offer flexibility in work hours for the right candidate.
Ko wai koe (About you)
About You
This is a clinical role, therefore you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
Our ideal candidate will have at least two years of clinical experience in New Zealand.
Experience in vocational rehabilitation or a post-graduate qualification would be an advantage to the applicant, however not essential.
Substantial orientation, training, and support will be provided.
