The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, apply your understanding of occupational therapy to actively assist people using Pathway’s services to reach and maintain optimum wellbeing through a model of empowerment and inclusion in communities.  


Te āhuatunga a te tūrunga (About the role)

Some of your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that service provision has a whānau focus.
  • Provide high quality assessment, treatment, review and facilitate meaningful occupation of tāngata whai ora, taiohi and whānau as part of the support team and wider community-based services.
  • Role model a focus on inspiring wellbeing and working to deliver innovative, responsive, high-quality services.
  • Provide both individual and group based occupational therapy intervention with tāngata whai ora and taiohi.
  • Ensure individual support/goals plans are developed and reviewed in collaboration with stakeholders including physical, emotional and spiritual aspirations.
  • Collaborate with and refer to internal and external services.

Hours include: Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5 pm

Ko wai koe (About you)

About You | Mōu
You will have:

  • A recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with current NZ registration.
  • Must have a current annual practicing certificate
  • A current full, clean New Zealand driver’s license.
  • A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
  • An understanding of what you need for your own wellbeing.
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
