·         Earn between $35.74 – $46.15 hr + 2 paid well-being days + extra annual leave.

·         28 hours, flexible days Monday to Friday

This is a permanent part-time role, working 28 hours per week.  The days can be flexible and worked as agreed to with the Team Coach, in Nelson. 

Te āhuatunga a te tūrunga (About the role)

The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
The Occupational Therapist works across Pathways' services in Nelson and Marlborough - covering adult and youth services in supported residential settings, and for tāngata whai ora living in their own homes in the community.  Our tāngata whai ora have mental health and/or addiction challenges, and also often have physical health conditions.  The role is designed to support tāngata whai ora to thrive as independently as possible, taking a meaningful, intentional and goal-oriented approach. 

The sorts of things you would be doing include supporting tāngata whai ora to create structure and occupation in their day, and attend to their activities of daily living e.g. learning to menu plan, shop for groceries, and cook their own meals; learning to clean their living space; learning to take public transport; work readiness; becoming independent with medication.

Ko wai koe (About you)

You | Mōu
You will have;

·         A New Zealand registration as an Occupational Therapist 

·         A current full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence.

·         A current, comprehensive New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.

·         An understanding of what you need for your own wellbeing.

·         Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
