Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)

As the National Manager – Professional Advisory Services, you will lead a national, multi‑disciplinary team of allied health professionals, ensuring the delivery of consistent, high‑quality, evidence‑based advice aligned to organisational priorities and funder expectations. You will set professional standards, support complex and high‑risk decision‑making, and ensure the function remains efficient, adaptable, and future‑focused. As a key member of the Operations Leadership Team and Enable New Zealand’s senior professional expert, you will contribute insights to strategy, policy, and service delivery. You will bring strong strategic leadership, people management capability, and a passion for improving outcomes for disabled people and their whānau, alongside excellent communication, collaboration, and a commitment to quality, equity, and customer‑centred service delivery.

Te āhuatunga a te tūrunga (About the role)

Provide national leadership of Professional Advisory Services by ensuring people have access to consistent, high‑quality advice, supported by clear standards, frameworks, and guidance that enable confident, well‑informed decision‑making. You will lead and develop a high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary team, while also providing expert input on complex or high‑risk cases where needed. The role plays a key part in supporting equitable, efficient, and sustainable service delivery, while continually improving how work is done through innovation, smarter processes, and the thoughtful use of emerging technologies. It also supports strong contract performance and value for money, delivers an annual plan aligned to Enable New Zealand’s priorities, and builds trusted relationships with internal leaders and key external stakeholders. Through this, you contribute to organisational strategy, policy, insights, and risk management, with all work grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and a strong focus on equity.

Enable New Zealand is a Crown-owned entity on a mission; to support disabled people and their whānau to live everyday lives in their communities. We do this by effectively managing access to equipment, modifications and information services for disabled people and their whānau on behalf of Disability Support Services (DSS) – Ministry of Social Development (MSD) and the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC).


With our head office centrally located in Palmerston North, we deliver services to thousands of New Zealanders each year as Aotearoa's largest disability equipment provider.
