Therapy Services are a unique team covering the Bay of Plenty and Waikato region specialising in supporting individuals aged 15 and older with intellectual disabilities, who also have complex physical and/or sensory disabilities impacting their function. We work respectfully alongside individuals and their support systems to achieve a quality of life that upholds dignity, comfort, and independence. Based at our Hamilton site, you will have the use of a vehicle and be provided with a laptop to attend visits.

No two days are the same. Our services include housing modifications, prescribing equipment - including wheelchairs and 24-hour positioning, education, and advocacy for the people we support who live in the community. Your ability to problem-solve and your drive for equitable health outcomes are essential

To be successful in gaining a position in the team, you will need to have a minimum of 3-years OT experience in addition:

  • New Zealand registered Occupational Therapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate

  • Sound clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence informed practice

  • Experience using the Enable funding process (preferred)

  • Full current New Zealand Drivers Licence

  • The ability to pass a Police and Oranga Tamariki check
