Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)

We are a proactive team of Occupational Therapists providing the highest standard of care for our clients. We pride ourselves on being friendly and supportive, and work in a busy multi-disciplinary environment focusing on promoting, encouraging, and enabling the health, well-being and independence of the people in our community.

We are looking for an OT with experience of, and a strong interest in, working in the community. In addition, experience working in a rehab setting will be highly desirable.

The hours for this role are up to 80 hours per fortnight working Monday - Friday.

Health NZ Nelson Marlborough is the main health provider for Te Tau Ihu, the top of the south. Ko wai koe (About you)

You will have at least two years of post-qualification experience, NZ registration in Occupational Therapy, and a current practicing certificate.

Additionally, you will bring the following:

  • Strong clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence-informed practice
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within our multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Full clean driver's licence
  • Complex Housing and level one Wheelchair Enable accreditation are preferred, but not essential

You will also be adaptable to change, resourceful and flexible to service needs, and will have a genuine passion for working with patients in the community on their health journey. If this sounds like you, we welcome your application.
